Severe crush injury to right forearm

Severe crush injury to the right forearm.

A middle-aged male sustained a severe crush injury to his right forearm and hand with a fracture/dislocation of the elbow and a fracture/dislocation of the wrist. He was told that the limb cannot be salvaged and that trying to salvage the limb would not yield any useful limb. An above-elbow amputation was carried out, and he fully recovered.
