"The Murder Trial Live" is a recreated murder trial delivering you an in-depth understanding of the British justice system. Jurors are required to witness the proceedings of the trial to formulate a deep understanding surrounding key moments, evidence and statements before opening a debate with their fellow Jurors, allowing them to reach a verdict.

Step inside the UK's biggest inflatable arena...
We're proud to tour The Murder Trial Live in the UK's biggest purpose built inflatable arena. This state of the art structure is the only one of its kind in the UK, and engineered to our exact specification, providing a large open arena with no internal support using just the physics of air. The walls are 2m thick, the outside is white to reflect light and heat with a black trim inside for the show. With a single span roof, the structure can support a 2.5 ton rig suspended from the ceiling.
It takes our team of competent site crew, structural engineers, electricians, AV crew and customer service team a total of 1800 hours to build and install the show in this unique space. After the show closes on the final day, we do a "Houdini", moving on to a new location leaving no trace we were ever there!
Our specialist show vehicles provide on site power, water and all the facilities to make your experience with us as close to a real tour experience that we can. We have an onsite kitchen that can cater for 2000 covers in pulse servings. Be sure to visit the fully licensed bar when you visit. We install a level floor, and carpet the arena but please wear comfortable shoes as some parts of the floor might be uneven.

1970's Lancashire Ripper goes on trial and police confident the case is finally solved!
The identity of the Lancashire Ripper can finally be revealed as Martin Shuttington, Shuttington was living in Burnley at the time and worked as a Train Driver for Intercity between London and Glasgow where it thought he met his victims.
A recent murder in Staffordshire carrying all the hallmarks of the victims pre-1992 caused huge public interest causing the police to reopen the case. A roadside stop outside a train station in Lichfield following the discovery of a body some days prior lead police to interviewing Martin Shuttington.
Evidence including hair, DNA and semen preserved at the time and coupled with modern techniques have lead to police charging Shuttington. The trial begins in 2025. Gather your jury! Tickets include our signature Crown Court High Tea dining experience.

BOOKING TICKETS

Choose a date and gather your jury, when choosing which date and time to attend consider we have: PEAK SHOWS which are our prime time shows these are busy shows which sell out quickly. OFF PEAK SHOWS can be quieter, these have cheaper tickets and are usually Sundays and weekday evenings. Both of these shows include our Crown Court High Tea Dining Experience as part of the ticket. Our SUPER OFF PEAK SHOWS are midweek, quieter, exclude the dining experience and are aimed at school and college trips, corporate events, team building experiences and OAPs or those with care needs. Some SUPER OFF PEAK shows have BSL interpreters. Each show has a standard floor plan showing the ticket types and prices. Bear in mind ticket prices chance 4 times daily based on demand. Secure your seats early to have the best choice of seat.
BEFORE YOU ARRIVE
Ensure you have selected your seats and purchased your tickets and confirmed your High Tea restaurant dining experience option, to peruse the menu click here. If you are driving be sure to book a parking space with our parking partner -this can be done here. On the show day, your parking ticket off and have admission tickets to hand. We do advise all guests to bring a cushion, our seats are part of touring show infrastructure and some guests find a cushion more comfortable.
ARRIVAL
Upon arrival our main foyer opens where you can visit the bar while we check tickets. We're fully licensed and serve a range of premium alcoholic drinks, you can view the drinks menu here.
THE RESTAURANT DINING EXPERIENCE
We are proud to present our restaurant dining experiences which boasts English classics from Fortnum & Mason fine teas to luxury finger sandwiches, cheeses, pates, artisan breads along with all your favourite savoury & sweet treats. Once the main arena opens you will be shown to your seats by our host. Upon taking your seat your restaurant server will confirm your menu choice with you, if you wish, you can change or swap between Classic & Gentleman's subject to availability. Your High Tea dining experience is then served to your seat so sit back, tuck in and get to know who you will be deliberating with. Please check your ticket type and description to check if you need to pre-order the high tea online/via the box office.
THE LIVE MURDER TRIAL
You will be asked to consider the evidence set out before you and try the case on the facts alone. Hear the examination and cross-examination produced by real barristers before hearing from the defendant himself, finally retire to consider your position before delivering your jury verdict.

Weekday Super Off Peak Shows
Arrival no earlier than 11:30am, doors open at 11:45am, show starts at 12:30pm. These shows do not include High Tea in the ticket price, however they can be added as an extra by pre-booking or on the day.
Weekday Off Peak Shows
Arrival no earlier than 6:30pm, doors open at 6:45pm, show starts at 7:00pm.
Friday Peak Shows
Arrival between 6:30pm and 7:00pm for a 7:00pm show start. Dining experience begins at 7:00pm sharp.
Weekend Matinee Peak Shows
Arrival between 11:30am and 12:00pm for a 12:00pm show start. Dining experience begins at 12:00pm sharp.
Saturday Evening Peak Shows
Arrival between 5:30am and 6:00pm for a 6:30pm show start. Dining experience begins at 6:30pm sharp.

THE CASE
The Lancashire Ripper Murders
Between 1971 & 1992 Lancashire was rocked by a succession of female murders. The largest manhunt in criminal history was launched with the help of five police forces, despite this every lead yielded no results. For 20 years a murderer remained at large with the killing spree seemingly ending in 1991.
Following the discovery of a body in 2023 with all the hallmarks of the Lancashire Ripper and after almost 30 years without justice, a roadside stop in 2023 lead to a break through in the case. Decades of police work and advancements in science & evidence preservation have identified Martin Shuttington as a likely suspect.
He was arrested and charged with the murders of Deborah Walker, Susan Flemming, Rita Lola, Marie Baker, Jackie Moore and Susan Hartley between 1971 & 1992 and Leoni Dews in 2023.
The post-mortems telling and the forensics are strong, but with so much time passed, is Martin Shuttington the infamous Lancashire Ripper, a copycat killer or a wrong man.
The police have charged him with murder and he awaits his trial.

The 2025 show is based on the real life events of Yorkshire Ripper Peter Sutcliffe, how he came to commit his crimes, the following investigation and litany of police failings which consequently allowed Sutcliffe to kill and kill again.
Sutcliffe was convicted of the murders of 13 women and for attempting to kill a further 7. The case was complex and riddled with police failing, for years we reigned terror over the community and his crimes shaped political decisions at the time.
This year we invite you to join the jury for The Lancashire Ripper Murders, is the man standing before you a historic cold killer who has killed once more, is he a copycat killer or is he an innocent man?
